Women’s Garden Party Tea

Concert at Slade Trammell’s
The next concert at Slade Trammell’s house is Sunday, June 9th, at 3 pm. Lauren Boozer will sing music from Schubert's Winterreise. All are welcome! Admission is free, and donations are accepted. Note: GPS leads everyone to the basement, but there is public parking at the top of the neighborhood.
Oak Ridge Lavender Festival Weekend
The annual festival is on June 15th. There will be a Herb Lunch on the 14th, and the gardens tour will be hosted all three days. The festival headquarters is Jackson Square.
Walk Thru the Bible
Walk Thru the New Testament through the use of story and hand motions. This event takes place at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 22nd, beginning at 8 AM. The instructor will be Bryan Harvey. Cost is $5, and reservations can be made at 865-982-4285.
New Pictures for the Directory
Grace's Photography Club will be taking pictures for the directory. The photo sessions will be held between the two services. Photos also can be submitted to the church office if preferred.
Funeral Planning Meeting
Fabian Mott of Mott-McKamey Funeral Home will do a presentation between the services in the Fellowship Hall on funeral planning.
Backpack and Teacher Blessing
School backpacks and teachers will be the recipients of special blessings at both services on July 21st.
QR Code Training
Learn to use QR codes at this training session in the Fellowship Hall between the services on July 21st.
Fundraiser for Music Ministries
Barbara Sparks and Slade Trammell will perform flute sonatas of J. S. Bach on Sunday, June 28th, at 3 PM. The program, which will raise funds for Grace's music ministries, is the first in a series of three and will take place at Slade's home.
Technology Lab
Drop-in assistance with smartphones or tablets is available every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 4 to 6 PM at the Oak Ridge Library Auditorium.
Northern Boundary Trailhead Hike
Meet Paul G at the Northern Boundary Trailhead parking area off the Turnpike. This is a moderate hike lasting about 1.5 hours. Bring water and expect some exertion!

Monday Morning Bible Study
Pastor Rosy will lead a Bible study on Monday mornings for six weeks, beginning July 15th. The study meets in Room 101 and is based on the book Soul Keeping by John Ortberg.
CPR/First Aid Training
This course will be offered to anyone who would like to be CPR/First Aid certified. The cost for the class is $80, payable to the church by check with the class name in the memo line. This class is highly recommended for ushers and greeters.

Church Picnic
Church Picnic Sunday, September 8th, at Melton Hill Lake Pavilion. The Nurturing Commission will provide meat, dessert and drinks. Church members are asked to bring a dish or dessert to share and to also bring a chair. The picnic will begin at 4:00 p.m. Sign-up sheets for the picnic are in the Narthex.
